Roughly 45 billion period products go into global landfill every month. ThoseĀ old-fashionedĀ pads & tampons can take 500-800 years
to break down, if ever, doing a heap ofĀ damage to people, the planet and
all our cute critters.
In 2017, our founders, with years of design experience in the underwear industry, decided this had toĀ change. It seemed bizarreĀ to them that 50% of the population menstruate, but we still didnātĀ have any sustainable alternatives to traditional period products.
Tweens entering the world of periods, new mums needing bladder leak support and everyone sick ofĀ the endless cycle of disposables were becoming frustrated with the limited products available. ThereĀ had to be an option that didnāt leave a huge carbon footprint!
The world was crying out for a solution, so Love Luna answered
theĀ call.Ā We set about researching,Ā testing and designing products that could be good both for you, AND our planet.
Our goal was toĀ come upĀ with period protection productsĀ that ticked all the right boxes:sustainable, affordableĀ and inclusive, but also extremely comfortable and well made- because genuine comfort and careĀ are always at the heart of everything we do.
In 2018, our period undies were the very first to hit the shelves of everyday Australian retailers,Ā launching a revolution in the menstruation market. We were (and still are!) thrilled to be able to offerĀ such exacting quality at truly affordable prices and in inclusive sizes, making period briefs accessibleĀ for all.
Every season we develop our range, being sure to take into consideration feedback from ourĀ fabulous customers, the latest scientific research and ongoing developments in environmentallyĀ friendly fabrication, to continuously improve our products while staying true to our values ofĀ sustainability, comfort and inclusivity.
